PURPOSE:To enable fine processing to be accomplished without rotating a main shaft by providing both an electric motor and a connector which makes an electrical connection with a means storing data to control the electric motor. CONSTITUTION:A taper shank section 7 and a holding section 7a by a manipulator are provided to a tool 4a. And a high frequency electric motor 8 capable of rotating coaxially at high speed is contained, and a drill point 6 is secured to the tip end of a chuck section 6a. And the tool 4a is also provided with a memory means consisting of a PROM storing a optimum rotating speed of the high frequency electric motor 8. And a connector 11 is provided so as to be connected with these high frequency electric motor 8 and memory 9 at a position off the shaft center of the tool 4a. The tool 4a is fitted on a main shaft 2, and is simultaneously connected with a receptacle 12 provided to a machine tool main body 3. |
