PURPOSE:To provide the aperture efficiency and a photodetector area similar to those of a CCD of the field transfer (FT) system and the sensitivity similar to that of a CCD of an inter line (IT) system by forming a picture element corresponding to a color B by a photoelectric transducing element of the IT system. CONSTITUTION:Since a photoelectric transducing element arranged under filters R and G acts like a charge transfer element in itself, the surface of the photoelectric transducing element is provided with a polysilicon-made transfer electrode for transfer control, while no polysilicon electrode is provided to the surface of the photoelectric transducing element under the filter B. Instead, a transfer gate 2 is provided between the photoelectric transducing element for color B and the photoelectric transducing element for color G at each element. Thus, the same resolution as that of the conventional FT system is given, and nearly the same photodetection area and aperture efficiency are provided, and since the photodetector for color B has no transparent electrode, the same sensitivity as that of the conventional IT system is obtained.
