PURPOSE:To secure smooth supply of dielectric fluid even in an initial machining stage in which the width of a moving electrode is small by boring a hole for passing the dielectric fluid through a supporting body for supporting an electrode guide and providing a jet flow block with a jet flow outlet for the dielectric fluid. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of electrode guides 4 for guiding a moving electrode 2 are attached to a supporting body 3. A dielectric fluid passage 5 is bored through the supporting body 3 to which an external flow passage 11, a pump 6 and a dielectric fluid tank 8 are connected. Further, the supporting body 3 is provided with a jet flow block 7 through which a passage 5A is bored and to which a jet flow outlet 5B is attached, with the jet flow outlet 5B directed to the moving electrode 2. Machining is performed by applying voltage pulses between the moving electrode 2 and a workpiece 1 while delivering jet flow of dielectric fluid from the jet flow outlet 5B into a machining gap. With the above arrangement, sufficient flow rate of dielectric fluid can be secured even when the width of the moving electrode is small by effectively utilizing a space.
