发明名称 PRINTING POSITION SIGNAL GENERATOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable printing position signals corresponding respectively to a plurality of printing pitches to be accurately obtained through a simple circuitry, by setting a common multiple of the printing pitches to be a minimum unit of carrier moving distance and additionally providing a bidirectional counter and a read-only memory (P-ROM). CONSTITUTION:Position signals A and B are clock signals with a 90 deg. phase difference therebetween, and a carrier moving distance per one pulse of the signals is equivalent to a common multiple of a plurality of printing pitches. A bidirectional counter 5 counts up when a carrier is moved forward, counts down when the carrier is moved backward, and outputs address signals A0-A14. A P-ROM 6 is so constructed that a logical value '1' is outputted every 12 addresse as a 0-th bit output D0, and a logical value '1' is outputted every 9 addresses as a first bit output D1. When printing at a 1/120-in pitch, an output signal is generated as a printing position signal when the output D0 of the P-ROM 6 becomes '1'. When printing at a l/160-in pitch, the output signal is generated as the printing position signal when the output D1 becomes '1'. Accordingly, a plurality of printing position signals can be generated based on the same position signals A and B.
