Compounds of the formula <IMAGE> wherein R3 is ethyl, n-propyl or n-butyl, and R8 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, exhibit bronchodilating activity with reduced side effects and increased half-life. A method of achieving bronchodilation with reduced undesired effects (diuresis, CNS activity), by administering the said compounds to a patient, is also provided.
