PURPOSE:To reduce noise by increasing the fuel pressure in a suction space during idling. CONSTITUTION:When a drive shaft 5 rotates driven by an internal combustion engine, a plunger 8 reciprocates/rotates through a cam device 7. In suction stroke, fuel is inhaled from a suction space 2 into a pressure chamber 14, and is pressurized in exhaust stroke to be discharged through a delivery valve 20 from a discharge port 19. Then a cutoff port 21 moves apart from a control sleeve 22, to complete injection. Here a regulating valve 6 is held down by a valve control device 35 during idling. This increases the fuel pressure in said suction space 2. This provides the pump body 1 with a condition that anti-vibratory characteristic is strengthened by internal pressure, which will reduce vibration of the pump body 1. |
