The process consists of (a) reducing the feed material to a max. size of 1.2mm; (b) placing in a mixer; (c) impregnating with 5 wt.% of a liquid mixt. of 2 kg 96% ethanol, 1.5 kg commercial 37% formalin and 0.5 kg 1% formic acid soln. in water, for 15 minutes; (d) transferring to a sealed container, in which it is (e) left for 3 days.
