PURPOSE:To obtain high battery performance with good reversibility for charge and discharge, very low self discharge factor and high energy density, by using polyaniline as negative electrode active material, lead dioxide as positive electrode active material and forming the electrolyte by sulfuric acid water solution. CONSTITUTION:In secondary batteries which are constituted by positive electrodes, negative electrodes and electrolyte as main elements, the secondary battery in the caption is the one consisting of polyaniline as the negative electrode active meterial, lead dioxide as the positive electrode active material and sulfuric acid water solution as the electrolyte. In the case using the polyaniline (PAn) as the negative electrode, necessary amount of use of the sulfuric acid for the same amount of reactive electricity will be a half of the case that is using some other materials. This shows that variation in the liquid concentration is little on charging or discharging, causing many advantageous respects such as a little variation in conductivity, etc., and particularly, the matter that less necessity of the liquid quantity is very advantageous in the case that the battery is made in a closed type and also, the energy density of the total battery can be dreveased. |
