PURPOSE:To prevent a low order harmonic wave value and a DC exciting current value in a cycloconverter from increasing by forming the secondary winding of an input transformer in a minimum 3-winding unit. CONSTITUTION:The secondary winding of a first input transformer 2a in which the secondary winding is formed in a minimum 3-winding unit is connected with one of bridge rectifiers of single-phase cycloconverters 10a-10c composed by crosswiring a pair of bridge rectifiers 2a-2f, 2a'-2f'. connected in cascade or two sets of the bridge rectifiers. The secondary winding of a second input transformer 1b in which the secondary widing is formed in a minimum 3-winding unit is connected with the other of the bridge rectifiers. |
