PURPOSE:To freely adjust each color independently of an achromatic component by applying a processing such as masking after the achromatic component is removed from each color density signal. CONSTITUTION:Chrominance signals Y, M, C are clamped to a prescribed level by buffer clamp circuits 14Y, 14M, 14C, fed to density conversion circuits 15Y, 15M, 15C, where the signals are converted into the color density signal. The chrominance signal is fed to an achromatic color detection circuit 16, from which the achromatic component is detected and fed to a video/density conversion circuit 17, where the signal is converted into the achromatic density signal. The achromatic color component is subtracted from the color density signal by adders 18Y, 18M, 18C to obtain chromatic density signals SY1, SM1, SC1. After the signals SY1, SM1, SC1 are adjusted by color adjustment circuits 19Y, 19M, 19C, the result is fed to a masking circuit 20 to apply masking processing. |
