PURPOSE:To improve a water-proof characteristic of polyamide by a method wherein nitrile metallic salt is contained in water or aqueous solution directly contacting a polyamide molded product. CONSTITUTION:Nitrite metallic salt is contained in water or aqueous solution directly contacting a polyamide molded product. As nitrite metallic salt, sodium nitrite and potasium nitrite or the like are effective. Polyamide molded product means a product in which nylon 6, nylon 66, nylon 610, nylon 11, nylon 12 and these copolymer or mixtures or more than two elements such as polyamide resin having amide couple at its main chain are applied as raw material, various quality improving additives and/or reinforcing materials are mixed to each other or not mixed with each other and than molded by an extrusion molding or the like. Water or aqueous solution directly contacting the polyamide molded product means a thermal medium in a nylon pipe heating system, for example, and an amount of nitrite metallic salt contained in aqueous solution or water is normally appropriate in 0.01-5%.
