PURPOSE:To effectively warm the entire part of the interior of a room without imparting discomfortable feeling to persons within the room in a normal operation after starting a space heating operation by dividing a vertical air flow direction grill into a plurality number in the horizontal direction and causing a subgrill to follow the rotation of a main grill up to a position where the rotational force of a spring is switched, upon the rotation of the main grill from a slantly lower blow-off position to a horizontal blow-off position. CONSTITUTION:When a space heating operation is set an operation manipulating part 25, a desired indoor temperature Tas is also set and an operation starting manipulation is conducted, a control part 20 operates an indoor fan 7 by a fan drive circuit 27 if a heat exchange temperature Tc rises to 32 deg.C or more, indoor air is sucked up into the indoor unit 1 through a suction port 2, and passes through an indoor heat exchanger 5 and is blown off into the room through a blow-off port 2. When a wall surface temperature Tb does not reach the range whose upper limit is the indoor temperature Tas, for example, 5 deg.C, and a time passing from the operation starting does not yet reach a predetermined time t1, a subgrill 12b rotates until it comes into collision with a stopper S2 at the initial period of the rotation of a main grill 12a, and assumes an angle which is equal to that of the main grill 12a. Thus, a warm air flow is blown off from the indoor unit 1 toward the directly below part of the room R, to sufficiently warm the vicinity of the floor surface of the room R.
