PURPOSE:To simplify and miniaturize a mechanism and reduce cost involved by providing a transfer material guide mechanism located at both sides of a printing head in a transfer material cassette to guide a transfer material when the cassette is mounted on a printing head. CONSTITUTION:A transfer material guide mechanism 4 is a separate component from a cassette case 1 and is provided with an attachment/detachment frame 4a and two guide members 4b for fitting into a printing head 5, thus forming a frame. When a transfer material cassette is mounted on a transfer-type printer, the right and left guide members 4b set a transfer material 3 in a gently formed aproximate V-shape at the position of the printing head 5, if the transfer material guide mechanism 4 is mounted on the printing head 5. Consequently, when printing action is performed, one guide member 4b allows the transfer member 3 closely to the tip of the printing head 5, while the other guide member 4b gives a turnover angle theta to a space with a material to be transferred 6 and acts as a separator of a coloring agent transferred to the material 6 and the transfer member 3 after printing. Also the transfer material guide mechanism 4 moved together with the printing head 5 and therefore, no special mechanism to move the transfer material guide mechanism is required. |
