PURPOSE:To damp vibration of a shoe so as to attempt improvement of noise prevention effect by pressing the part of a damping member having a characteristic frequency different from that of the shoe against the vibrating surface of the shoe in such a way as to have a rubdown thereto, and by rubbing a damping side plate against the vibrating surface of a shoe side wall in case of a triangle shoe. CONSTITUTION:A damping member 1 is fastened on a truck link L to the longer direction of a truck shoe 10' for dry ground with a shoe bolt V together with the shoe 10'. And as the damping member 1 has a characteristic frequency different from that of the truck shoe 10', relative friction is generated for accelerating damping in vibration when the shoe 10' vibrates. And when the truck shoe 10 is a triangle shoe, inverse triangle shaped damping side plates 2 and 3 having characteristic frequencies different from that of the shoe 10 are welded to the extent that the part of its upper end does not come out near the end section of a shoe side wall 10. Owing to this constitution, the damping chambers 2 and 3 are gradually parted by way of both the wide wall in the shorter direction of the shoe 10 and a gap, and edge sections 2a and 3a of both sides have rubdown with the vibrating surface of the shoe side wall when the shoe 10 vibrates, thereby damping rapidly vibration of the shoe 10.
