PURPOSE:to finish the heating work in coloring and reinforcement at one time and to easily and inexpensively obtain the title glass by performing the patterning on the surface of a plate glass by means of mineral-base coloring paint and heating it to color the pattern and then quenching it to subject it to reinforcement treatment. CONSTITUTION:A pattern is printed on the surface of a plate glass 1 by mineral- base coloring paint 4 by means of known screen printing. The plate glass 1 printed with the pattern is hung by a hanger and positioned between lamellate heaters 6, 7 of a heating oven 5 and heated at 600-650 deg.C respectively decompose and volatilize organic metal and an organic solvent incorporated in the above- mentioned paint 4, and metal is oxidized, colored and thereby the pattern printed n the plate glass 1 is colored. As paint 4, paste, gold and silver-base stain coloring paint, etc., are used. these paints are excellent in heat resistance and are not burned even at about 700 deg.C. Then the plate glass 1 is taken out from the heating oven 5 and blown with air at ordinary temp. to quench it and subjected to reinforcement treatment. The heating work in coloring and reinforcement of the plate glass is finished in a single operation and the work is simplified and heat energy can be saved. |
