PURPOSE:To prevent the biting of a core by the solidified part at starting time of casting by forming at first molten metal basin at the inner circumferential side forming a casting runner and growing this basin toward the outer circumferential face in accordance with supplying in succession the molten metal. CONSTITUTION:A receiving table 3 is placed as closing a bottom part of the casting runner 20 and the molten metal supplied is introduced to the inner part by a depression part 8 to form the basin 30. The basin 30 develops the solidification at solidified starting face A1 by cooling from a contacting face. In this way, after reaching the solidified starting point P1 to the upper face 2a of casting, the receiving table 3 is started to descend. Then, the descending velocity of the receiving table 3 is controlled, so as to prevent the molten metal from leakage as holding the solidified starting point P1 to the upper face 2a of casting. The solidified part at the descending start of the receiving table 3 is limited to a little solidified part 15'' only in the basin 30. Therefore, the biting of the core caused by shrinkage of the solidified part 15'' is little, and so impossibility of the casting or shifting of the core is perfectly prevented. |
