PURPOSE:To enable detection of running and stop of a conveyance object simultaneously with detection of the presence of a conveyance object, by detecting transmission and interruption of light by means of a detecting disc. CONSTITUTION:Admission of a paper 27 is detected from the fact that a detecting disc 9 is pushed by the paper 27, and a change is produced at a collecting element 16 by light passing through the detecting disc 9. When, with the progress of conveyance of the paper 27, the detecting disc 9 is rotated, the electrical resistance of the collecting element 16 is continuously changed, and this detects normal conveyance of the paper 27. If the paper 27 remains undelivered, no continuous change in the electrical resistance of the collecting element 16 is produced, and undelivery of the paper 27 can be detected. If the paper 27 is absent, the detecting disc 9 is lowered to its original position, and light to the collecting element 16 is interrupted and no change is caused at the collecting element 16, whereby completion of passage of the paper 27 can be detected. |
