PURPOSE:To produce a tile excellent in luster, brightness and light scattering properties, etc., in a short time by scattering the powdery fine pieces of a transparent synthetic resin film thinly vacuum-deposited with a bright metallic coating on the underside of a transparent glass plate and coating the synthetic resin film for exhibiting the ground color on the same underside. CONSTITUTION:Powdery fine pieces 2 obtained by finely cutting a thin transparent synthetic resin film wherein a brought metallic coating is extremely thinly vacuum- deposited so as to become at oil film-shape on both sides or a single side are scattered on the underside of a colorless or colored transparent glass plate 1 cut in required size. Then after coating a synthetic resin film 3 for exhibiting hyperchromic transparent ground color on the same underside, a protective film 4 made of synthetic resin is laminated on this resin film 3 to produce a finished article (p). Further the finished article is sometimes produced in such a state that the rpotective film 4 is not laminated. The production process is simple in comparison with a conventional clay calcination method and skillful technique is not required and a tile such as a jewel excellent in luster, brightness, light scattering and color developing properties, etc., can be produced in good productivity in a short time without necessitating high temp.
