PURPOSE:To obtain a putrescine oxidase having high putrescine oxidation activity even in neutral region, by culturing a microbial strain capable of producing putrescine oxidase. CONSTITUTION:A microbial strain belonging to Aspergillus genus, Rhizopus genus, Mucor genus, Penicillium genus, etc., and capable of producing putrescine oxidase, e.g. Penicillium variable IAM7166 is cultured in a putrescine-containing medium and the objective putrescine oxidase is separated from the cultured product. |
