PURPOSE:To prevent a ticket from damage caused by turning-over of an end or the like by releasing the ticket from being pressed by stopping a motor when the ticket being conveyed is stopped temporarily by a stopper to elongate waiting time. CONSTITUTION:A ticket A entering the interior of a shutter is conveyed by a third roller 9 to pass over a magnetic head 8 so that data written on the ticket surface are read. The ticket A is relayed by a fourth roller 11 to be further conveyed. And when a sensor 12 detects the ticket A, a stopper 13 desends to stop the progress of ticket A temporarily. Here the previously read data are collated with the sensor detected data. When both data coincide with each other, a waste ticket punch 10 is operated to punch the ticket A to prevent the ticket from being reused and thereafter the stopper 13 is raised. The stopper 13 lowering signal of the sensor 12 is sent to the input of a timer circuit 18 to start the counting of stopping-waiting time. And when the collation is completed within a certain set time, a conveying motor 17 is held under the drive condition.
