Antitumour antibiotics

The antitumour antibiotics BBM-1675 A1, A2, A3, A4, B1 and B2 are described. These compounds can be isolated from an antibiotic complex in which the first two occur as major components and the other four occur as subsidiary components. The complex is obtained by fermentation of certain strains of Actinomadura verrucosospora. The compounds can be used as active substances with antimicrobial action and antitumour action in pharmaceutical compositions.
