摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To decrease the number of parts and to simplify the structure, by fixing one main electrode of both chips to a heat dissipation metal plate, and providing the other main electrode and a gate electrode at the positions on the far side surface from the metal plate. CONSTITUTION:A thyristor chip 2 has an anode electrode 11 on the upper surface and a cathode electrode 12 on the lower surface. A gate electrode 13 is provided on a P-base layer 5, which is exposed on the upper surface. A voltage is applied across the anode electrode 11 and the cathode electrode 12 of the thyristor 2, and a current is made to flow toward the cathode 12 at the lower surface from the gate electrode 13 at the upper surface. Then a current flows to the cathode electrode 12 from the anode electrode 11, and the operation as the thyristor is started. A thyristor chip 1 and the thyristor chip 2 are brazed to one sheet of a heat dissipation metal plate 14. The anode electrode 11 at the upper surface of the chip 2 is connected to an electrode terminal 16, which is connected to the cathode electrode 12 at the lower surface of the chip 1, through a conducting wire 17, an electrode terminal 21 and a connecting conductor 19. The metal plate 14 is brazed to a terminal 22. A anti-parallel circuit is formed by using the terminals 16 and 22 as the main terminals.</p>
