PURPOSE:To shorten a scanning time and to improve the resolution of a monitoring azimuth angle by delaying signals obtained by picking up part of radiation power of antenna elements of an array antenna correspondingly and mixing them together. CONSTITUTION:Elements of the array antenna are divided into two right an left systems which are symmetrical when viewed from an aircraft. P pickup circuit 4 is provided for each element and part of the radiation power is picked up in constant phase to a constant amplitude and outputted to left-side phase shifters 5-9, variable resistance attenuator 10, and right-side phase shifters 5'-9'. A monitoring azimuth setting circuit 19 sets the initial value, final value, and step of the monitoring azimuth and actuates phase sifter control circuits 17 and 18 at the same time. The circuit 17 outputs a control signal 20 corresponding to the monitoring azimuth angle to couples of left and right phase shifters (5 and 5')-(9 and 9') at the same time. Their outputs are mixed to shorten the scanning time and improve the resolution thereby obtaining a device suitable to a radio navigating method.
