PURPOSE:To decrease the prefetch data amount as less as possible, by permitting a transmission inhibiting/permitting means in response to the transfer of a printing pattern, when each of printing patterns of the next printing code data group of a printing code data group submitted for printing by a printing part is transferred to the printing part from a printing pattern supply means. CONSTITUTION:Even at the time extending from the transmission of a code data to its stop, a printing part is continuing printing, but when each of printing patterns for a printing code data group which follows a printing code data group submitted to its printing is transferred to a printing part 6 from a printing pattern supply means 5 (for receiving the code data from a code data receiving part 2), a transmission inhibiting signal from a transmission inhibiting/permitting means 4 is released, and a transmission permitting signal is outputted, therefore, the transmission of the code data from a printer host 1 is started and repeated until the printing is ended. In such way, a prefetch data made to disappear when the printer is abnormal can be decreased as less as possible, without deteriorating a merit obtained from a prefetch of the data.
