PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality reproducing image where the due to a jitter is removed by phase-comparing a reproducing horizontal synchronizing signal with a reference horizontal synchronizing signal, and controlling the delaying quantity of the CCD delaying line of a TBC and the rotary phase of a drum motor with the phase error signal. CONSTITUTION:To a phase error detecting circuit 32, a reference horizontal synchronizing signal is supplied from a terminal 33 together with a reproducing luminance signal from a buffer amplifier 22. The phase error signal obtained in the phase comparator is supplied to a VOC 34. Together with this, the phase error signal from the phase error detecting circuit 32 is supplied to the input terminal (p) of a switch circuit 5. Consequently, at the time of reproduction, the phase error signal is supplied to a mixing amplifier 6 as a servo error. At the time of the usual reproduction, the phase error signal is used as the phase error signal of a drum motor 1. By the phase servo, the jitter of a reproducing video signal is compared with a conventional servo circuit and decreased.
