PURPOSE:To accomplish smooth power transmission by providing a plurality of slits at least either on the pulley V-groove surface or on the belt side surface where a pulley and V-belt contact each other and dispersing lubricating oil to the contact surface. CONSTITUTION:A lot of radial slits G are provided on both side surfaces of V-grooves of a driving speed change pulley Dr and a driven speed change pulley Dn. A V-block belt B is wrapped between both pulleys Dr, Dn and driven in the direction of an arrow. With running of the belt B, oil is applied to the back of the belt B from a nozzle N to absorb heat generated during running of the belt B. Part of oil adheres to the contact surfaces of the pulleys Dr, Dn and the belt B, and further oil more than needed flows out through the slits G. Thus, smooth power transmission without slip and generation of heat can be accomplished. The slits may be provided on the belt B.
