PURPOSE:To enable microscopic assay of an object to be inspected, by connecting a reducing column to a separation column of a high performance liquid chromatography to pack the reducing column with a contact hydrogen added reaction solid catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A hydrogen gas saturated mobile phase 1 is connected to a separation column 3 of a fast liquid chromatography through a pump 2 and a reducing column 4 is connected to the other end of the column 3. Then, the column 4 is packed with a platinum based catalyst as contact hydrogen added reaction solid catalyst to obtain a reducing derivative of an object to be inspected. The reducing derivative can provide a fluorescent substance by reduction thereby permitting a microscopic assay with a fluorescence detector 5.
