PURPOSE:To assure reliable blocking in a simple construction and to prevent rusting by providing a molding member having a U-shaped section and including foaming agent therein, fitting a peripheral edge of a window glass in the opening end of the molding member, and foaming the agent, after the molding member is attached to a window frame. CONSTITUTION:A molding member 21 including foaming agent 22 therein is inserted in a space 20 between a peripheral surface 4b of a window glass 4 and the inner peripheral surface 1a of a window frame 15 and fitted on a peripheral edge 4a of the window glass 4. Then, the whole vehicle is put in a high temperature furnace to be heated and consequently to foam the foaming agent 22. As the result, the molding 21 is pressed toward the inner peripheral surface 1a of the window frame 15 and the outer peripheral surface 21c of the molding 21 is brought in tight contact against the inner peripheral surface 1a of the window frame 15 to seal the space 20. This construction assures reliable locking and prevents rusting.
