PURPOSE:To measure flow rate, by displacing a viscous liquid inside a branched path with change of time with a pressure difference generated in the main flow path by friction of the liquid flowing through the main flow path. CONSTITUTION:An outlet of a main flow path 1 opens to the atmosphere and a liquid 2 to be measured is discharged from there and a pressure is generated at a branching point 3 according to a liquid flow rate (cm<3>/s). And, a viscous liquid was filled in a branched path 4 previously and it is discharged into the atmosphere as shown by an arrow 5 by pressure at a branch point 4. Here, an instantaneous integrating value of the pressure becomes known by measurement of a length of displacement of the viscous liquid inside the branched flow path 4. Further, it is move preferable that the path 4 is mode of a transparent pipe. And, when a turburent flow is created in the main flow path 1, an abrupt increase of pressure is observed according to the increase of water flow rate inside the main flow path 1. To avoid this, division into many time paths of the main flow path 1 is effective. This arrangement makes measurement of the flow rate available.
