PURPOSE:To repair the gas dust of coke oven by an inexpensive device in high safety, by floating powdery dry mortar in a hermetically constructed gas duct and applying the floating mortar to a part to be repaired by taking advantage of pressure difference between the duct and a neighboring regenerator. CONSTITUTION:A gas duct 3 is hermetically made, powdery mortar 16 is fed to the gas duct, floated, the floating mortar 16 is applied to a part 6 to be repaired such as joint cut part, etc., by pressure difference between the gas duct 3 and a regenerator, the part 6 to be repaired is closed and then the mortar is naturally sintered by temperature of brick of body of furnace to repair the part without causing at all thermal damage resulting from water content.
