PURPOSE:To obtain a stable output, by providing a constitution, wherein a substrate is in parallel with the magnetic paths of a magnetic scale, the magnetic paths of the magnetic scale are arranged in the close proximity to a current paths at a right angle with the current paths, and the relation between the interval of the current paths and the wavelength of a magnetic signal is specified. CONSTITUTION:A flat surface 1' of a glass substrate 1 is made to face each surface, which is to become the magnetic path of a magnetic scale 17, in parallel with the surface 17' at a close interval delta. Current paths are formed with ferromagnetic thin films, which are formed on the surface 1' at an approximately right angle with the direction H of a magnetic field. The current paths are arranged in parallel and connected in series. The end parts of R1 and R3 are connected to current feeding terminals 11 and 15. The connecting parts between R1 and R2 and between R3 and R4 are connected to output terminals 9 and 10. The connecting part between R2 and R4 is connected to a grounding terminal 12. The interval between the current paths R1 and R'1, R2 and R'2, R4 and R'4 and R3 and R'3 are made to be a/4lambda ((a) is a positive odd number). The intervals between R1 and R2, R2 and R4, and R4 and R3 are made to be (b/2 + 1/8)lambda ((b) is a natural number). Thus a stable output is obtained. |
