PURPOSE:To enable efficient production of a high-precision deep drawn molded product of a thick resin sheet, by applying simultaneously a final compression and a direct cooling to the resin sheet by a confronting liquid pressure. CONSTITUTION:A resin sheet A softened by heating is fitted over a dome 4 and is held by a flange press 8. When a bottom member 6 is raised, the capacity of a liquid holding chamber 7 is reduced thereby, a liquid level B' is raised, the resin sheet A is swollen out in a dishlike state and the surface area is increased. Then when the bottom member 6 is lowered in keeping pace with a descent of a punch 1, the capacity of the liquid holding chamber 7 is increased, simultaneously with the descent of the liquid level B' pressure of the space at the upper part of the liquid level is lowered and deep-draw molding is performed by a low pressure of a punch intrusion. When the bottom member 6 is elevated again at a point where molding has been performed at a desired height, a resin sheet A is stuck closely to a mold surface 2 and an uneven form or pattern which has been applied to the mold surface 2 is transferred precisely. As a high-pressure liquid is at a low temperature, the resin sheet is cooled rapidly and fixed in a short period of time, and rapid mold release can be performed. |
