PURPOSE:To improve the attaching workability of a wheather strip to a car body and sealing stability thereof by protruding a seal lip on a substantially U-shaped base nipping a car body opening flange, applying a sealing agent on the bottom of the base, and forming an escaping part for housing the surplus of the agent therein. CONSTITUTION:A sealing agent applied part of a substantially U-shaped base 12 and a hollow part 14a of a seal lip 14 are communicated with each other. Therefore, if a weather strip 10 is attached to a flange 1, the excess of the sealing agent 16 enters into a through hole 18 and moves to the hollow part 14a side when the flange 1 advances into the base 12, strikes against a sealing agent 16 and engages therewith. The attaching work can be completed with minor reactive force from the sealing agent 16. Consequently, the attaching work of the weather strip 10 to a car body and the stability of sealing can be improved. |
