The invention relates to a method for producing nonacosapeptides of formula I: H-Tyr-Ala-Asp-Ala-Ile-Phe-Thr-Asn-Ser-Tyr-Arg-Lys-Val-Leu-Gly-Gln-Leu- Ser-Ala-Arg-Lys-Leu-Leu-Gln-Asp-Ile-(A)-Ser-Arg-NH2 (I> in which A is Met, Ile or Nle which consists in successively coupling, in an aprotic polar solvent, in the presence of a coupling agent, the protected peptides II', III', V' and VII' which are derived from the peptides II, III, V and VII of the formulae below: X-Arg-Lys-Leu-NH-NH2 (II) H-Leu-Gln-Asp-Ile-(A)-Ser-Arg-NH2 (III) X-Ile-Phe-Thr-Asn-Ser-Tyr-Arg-Lys-Val-Leu-Gly-Gln-Leu-Ser-Ala-OH (V) X'-Tyr-Ala-Asp-Ala-OH (VII) in which X' and X are N-protecting groups, the functional side groups of the various amino acids being appropriately protected, in deprotecting the product obtained and in isolating the peptide of formula I.
