The field of the invention is that of an installation intended to provide message transmission automatically and possibly selectively to a movable receiving station from fixed beacons. The aim of the invention is to supply active signalling for use by drivers which is automatically conveyed to the interior of the vehicle. This objective is achieved with the aid of the interaction of fixed message storage means 31, 32, of movable means for picking up the messages and of means for selective intelligible retranscription of the messages. The invention finds a preferential application for constituting enhanced road signalling. <IMAGE>
