PURPOSE:To attain high speed modulation and high speed feeding by adding a magnetic film to a recording medium, arranging a magnetic mechanism supported elastically between the recording medium and an optical head so as to transmit a laser light through a magnetic mechanism thereby miniaturizing the magnetic mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium 1 is formed by a protection film 1a, a recording film 1b, a magnetic film 1d and a base 1c. The magnetic mechanism 3 is supported by an optical head 2 via a spring 5. In flowing a current to a coil 3d in the constitution, a magnetic flux flows from the inner cylinder of a hollow iron core 3c toward the face of the medium 1. The iron core 3c is attracted by the medium 1 by the mutual action between the magnetic flux and the film 1d. The attracting force, the reaction of the spring 5 and the air pressure caused at a gap between the iron core 3c and the film 1c are balanced. As a result, the closing contactless state between the film 1b and the iron core 3c is stably ensured. Since the very minute air gap between the film 1b and the iron core 3c is attained as a result, the miniaturization and light wt. of the mechanism are attained and high speed modulation of the magnetism is attained. |
