The invention relates to a safety binding for a boot on a ski 2.
<??>It comprises a jaw 3 capable of retaining one end of the boot against the ski 2, the said jaw being articulated about an axis 7 which is transverse relative to a body 6 connected to the ski 2. It also comprises energising means and, in particular, a pressure member 10 energised by elastic energy-reserve means against a ramp 11 of the jaw.
<??>It is characterised in that the body 6 is carried by two lateral arms 12, 13 which are themselves articulated relative to the ski 2 about a transverse pin 14 at their lower end, and in that the lever 22 is articulated at its lower end relative to the ski 2 about a transverse pin 23 and is interposed in its upper part between the pressure member 10 of the energising means and the elastic energy-reserve means 8.
