PURPOSE:To discharge a processed photosensitive material after drying, by providing a temperature detecting means facing the photosensitive surface of a photosensitive material and simultaneously controlling the heaters of an upper and lower hot-air drying means by means of the temperature detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The lower surface of a photosensitive material S is dried by a hot-air flow from a lower hot-air drying unit 170B while the material S is carried. At the time of this drying operation, part of the hot air which dries the surface of the material S by taking the moisture from the surface is supplied to the suction side of a drying fan and used in cycle after it is heated together with fresh air taken from the outside. Since an emulsion which is hardly dried is applied to the photosensitive surface of the photosensitive material S, the nonsensitive surface side of the material S is dried up when the photosensitive surface side is dried up. When the photosensitive surface of the material S being carried reaches the point opposing to a temperature detecting means 190, the means 190 detects the temperature in the vicinity of the photosensitive surface indicating the dried state of the material S and controls the operating states of the drying units 170A and 170B. Therefore, this drying device can be maintained at the optimum drying temperature.
