The present invention relates to a device for inserting and leaving a message 6 in a container 1 which may be a jar used for perfumery or cosmetics, a bottle or even a vase. The device is a double-wall 2, 3 all or part of the empty space of which is accessible by virtue of a slot 5 cut along one or more of its sides. One of the two walls being, at least in part, transparent or translucent, the message is thus not only protected but also displayed. The device according to the invention is particularly addressed at jars, bottles or vases which contain a liquid and are intended to be offered. <IMAGE>
