QUANTITATIVE DETERMINATION OF PROGESTERONE IN BOVINE NONFAT MILK

PURPOSE:To improve the detection sensitivity of progesterone by executing the reaction of the progesterone and anti-progesterone antibody at the concn. of casein decreased to <=1.5wt%. CONSTITUTION:The progesterone in bovine nonfat milk is quantitatively determined by an enzyme immune method utilizing the competitive reaction in which the anti-progesterone antibody or anti-progesterone antibody and 2nd antibody as well as enzyme-labeled progesterone are used. The reaction of the progesterone and the anti-progesterone is executed in the presence of the casein at <=1.5wt% concn. and sodium chloride at 0.03-1.2mol concn. The detection sensitivity of the progesterone is then improved and the reproducibility of the measured value is improved as well.
