PURPOSE:To achieve accurate registering through tensioning a tail part of a paper in both top-bottom and transverse directions when the tail part is attracted by suction approaches a point for contact with a reversing cylinder, by connecting an inner end part of each support pipe and a fixed member for supporting a suction pipe to each other by a slant link. CONSTITUTION:A pair of left and right slidable support pipes 41 for supporting a plurality of suction heads 46 are fitted, in the state of being fixed in a turning direction, to a suction pipe 32 turnably supported between both side plates 30 of a bouble-size transfer cylinder 12. An inner end part of each of the support pipes 41 and a bracket 36 located between the support pipes to support the suction pipe 32 are connected to each other by a slant link 52. A tail part of a paper 60, a head part of which is gripped by a gripper 19 on the double- size transfer cylinder, is attracted by suction by suction ports 45 of the suction heads. When the suction heads approach a part facing a reversing cylinder 13, the suction pipe is turned by operating a cam mechanism provided on the side of a frame 31, and the tail part of the paper attracted by the suction heads is pulled in the direction for retarding feeding whereby the tail part is tensioned in the top-bottom direction. The turning of the suction pipe is converted into axial motions by the slant links, and the axial motions are transmitted respectively to the support pipes to move the support pipes away from each other, whereby the tail part of the paper is tensioned in the transverse direction. |
