PURPOSE:To decrease a metallic dust which is attracted adhering to a glass surface by static electricity, by mounting an insulating plate of synthetic resin, which is closely attached to the peripheral surface of a terminal pin, peripheral surface of a cylindrical part and the internal peripheral surface of a metallic outer ring, to the inside of an enclosed vessel of the metallic outer ring. CONSTITUTION:An air-tight terminal 1 has a hat-shaped metallic outer ring 4 which comprises three through holes 2 and cylindrical parts 3 respectively surrounding said through holes 2. Said metallic outer ring 4 inserts to its respective through holes a terminal pin 5 while seals glass 6 to be mounted between this terminal pin 5 and the cylindrical part 3. The air-tight terminal 1 is welded to an enclosed vessel 7 of a compressor so that an opening end of the metallic outer ring 4 is placed inside, but an insulating plate 8 made of synthetic resin is mounted to the air-tight terminal 1 before it is welded. Said insulating plate 8, which inserts its small contour hole 12 to the terminal pin 5 and folded part 9 to the inside of the metallic outer ring 4 in a press-fit condition, is mounted to the air-tight terminal 1.
