PURPOSE:To stably supply starting fuel and to surely warm-up and start an engine with the use of a starter valve for supplying starting fuel to a carburetor, by providing a thermally responsive member which expands when its receives a heat and an intermediate member having a required heat between heat generating elements. CONSTITUTION:A starter valve 9 disposed in a part of a carburetor, for supplying auxiliary fuel for starting an engine is moved up and down by a thermally responsive member 8 which expands when it receives a heat, and opens a fuel passage 6 larger as the temperature is lower. An intermediate member 19 having a required heat capacity is disposed between the thermally responsive member 8 and an electrical heater 7 arranged above the former. The heat from the electrical heater 7 is gradually transmitted to the thermally responsive member 8 through the intermediate member 19, and therefore, the valve 9 is stably opened. Further, during starting of the engine after warm-up, the valve 9 is closed since the intermediate member stores heat, thereby it is possible to prevent the mixture from overreaching.
