The piston engine, especially radial piston engine with a housing, is provided with pistons (8) adjustable in the housing and with a drive shaft (5) mounted in the housing. The drive shaft (5) is provided with a control pin (7) which has a circumferential groove (12) connected to a pressure-medium supply, a segment-like disposal groove (15) connected to a pressure-medium outlet line (19) for the pressure-medium discharge, and a connecting line (13) between the circumferential groove (12) and the pressure-supply groove (14). The pressure-supply groove (14) and the disposal groove (15) are separated from one another by a web (16). The web (16) has on its front side (23A), in relation to the direction of rotation of the control pin (7), an outer edge (24) which projects in the direction of rotation in comparison with the remaining run of the two longitudinal sides (23A,23B) of the web which pass transversely through the control pin (7). <IMAGE>
