PURPOSE:To call up using registered abbreviated dialing from a telephone set of other seat by changing the content of an index memory by operating dial keys of a telephone set of other seat and designate abbreviated dial memory space of a telephone set of its own seat. CONSTITUTION:An abbreviated dial memory A and an index memory B are connected to a control device. The control device accesses a memory space allotted corresponding to a telephone set based on data obtained by operation of dial keys of the telephone set and reads telephone number of destination corresponding to the abbreviated number and calls up, and at the same time, changes the content of the index memory B when abbreviated dial change special number and number of position in which a telephone set to be changed is taken in are inputted from a telephone set of other seat, and designates abbreviated dial memory space fixed to a telephone set of its own seat by a telephone set of other seat by an index memory changing means provided in the device. Thereby, the abbreviated dial memory used by the telephone set of its own seat can be used by a telephone set of other seat.
