The invention relates to a recycling process for exposed strip-like film material, in which the emulsion is separated from the base layer of the film by means of a treatment liquid essentially comprising warm water and enzymes, the material being pretreated in order to improve the contact with the treatment liquid. The object of the invention is to provide a process of the type mentioned at the outset which enables economical and environmentally friendly recycling of the film material. The object set is achieved in that the pretreatment of the film material comprises profiling.
