ORGANIC ELECTROLYTE BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To make it possible to eliminate the discharge voltage drop which is peculiar phenomenon of a copper oxide-lithium battery by using composite particles comprising copper sulfide obtained by treating the surface of granular copper oxide with sulfur and copper oxide as a positive active material. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode 3 is obtained by mixing 90wtpts composite particles of CuO and Cu2S obtained by mixing 100pts granular copper oxide having almost globular shape and sulfur powder and heating in a vacuum furnace at 300 deg.C for about 2 hours and 10wtpts graphite. The mixture is molded in a pellet having a diameter of 8.6mm. The pellet is put in a positive can 1 together with a positive ring 4 made of SUS304 stainless steel, then molded again. Thereby, the discharge voltage drop which is peculiar phenomenon of a copper oxide-lithium battery can be eliminated.
