PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for reregistering operation by an operator and to perform efficient operation by inputting and storing many kinds of article data in the 1st computer by a dedicated operator. CONSTITUTION:A personal computer 1 and a personal computer 6 are connected by a communication line 7 and a ROM writer 8 and a cassette recorder 9 are connected to the computer 6 connected to the computer 1 to store article data temporarily on a cassette tape as an external storage medium by the computer 6. This storage medium is loaded in cassette recorders 90 and 91-94... connected to a controller 3 and respective electronic scales 51-54... when necessary and the storage contents of the storage medium is read out and stored in the controller 3 and electronic scales 51-54.... Then, registration data on articles which are generated by the computer 6 are stored and set in the computer 1 on an on-line or off-line basis, and the article data are transferred from the computer 1 to the respective electronic scales 51-54....
