MAGNETRON AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a magnetron by arranging dielectric substances between vanes or interdigital type combs. CONSTITUTION:Plural vanes 12 are provided inside an anode 11 and a cathode is arranged in the center shaft. Then, dielectric substances 13 are inserted between the vanes 12. An electrostatic capacity of an equivalent circuit in a microwave resonator surrounded by the vanes 12 is increased and a resonance frequency of a magnetron is lowered in reverse propotion to the square root of the increasing rate. Therefore, without the lowering of the oscillating frequency, the magnetron can be miniaturized. As the dielectric substances are inserted in the vanes, the strengh of the magnetron is increased so that the stable oscillation can be obtained at a narrow pitch.
