PURPOSE:To improve the operability of lens assembling work and to prevent a lens from the deterioration of optical characteristics due to temperature change by holding a seal having adhesive layers on both the sides between the lens and a lens receiving part and fixing the lens on a mirror frame. CONSTITUTION:A lens holding device is constituted by peeling the peeling paper 34 of the seal 30, sticking the seal 30 to the plane part 11 of the lens 10 and sticking the lens 10 with the seal 30 to the lens receiving part 22 to fix the lens 10 on the mirror frame 20. Since the lens 10 is held on the mirror frame 20 so as to be set up on an adhesive layer 33, the deformation of the lens 10 due to temperature change is provided with the degree of freedom. Thus, the lens 10 can be prevented from the generation of distortion and the deterioration of optical characteristics of the lens 10.
